What is real
Language support
Every page on this site is currently published in English only. There is no translated URL on this host yet, and no language switcher, because there is nothing yet for one to switch to. This page says so rather than listing languages you cannot get.
What does exist is the shared Novus locale contract, the same module in all ten Novus sites, which fixes the five languages the network will serve and the URL shape they will use. The table below is generated from that contract, so it cannot drift from it.

English is the default and never appears as a path segment; the other 4 will each take one: /es/, /de/, /pt/, /ja/.
Why the language will live in the URL
A cookie that remembers a language is invisible to a search engine: every URL returns one version, so there is nothing in any other language to find, link to or rank. A path segment gives each translation its own address, which is what makes hreflang mean anything and what lets someone share a page in the language they read it in.
English stays where it is, unprefixed. The pages already indexed and already linked keep their addresses, so publishing a translation will cost no redirect and no ranking.
What will not be translated, ever
The market observations themselves. Every figure here is published by a named official provider in that provider's own words, currency and units, and the item names come from those source records. Translating a source record would make it no longer the source record, and this site's whole method rests on a figure being traceable back to exactly what the provider published. Interface text, explanations and documentation are what translation applies to.
Numbers, dates and currencies are already formatted for the reader's locale by the browser's own Intl support, in English pages as much as in future translated ones. Currency values are never converted between currencies, in any language, because the data carries no exchange rate.
In the meantime
Browser translation works on every page here. The markup is ordinary semantic HTML with no text baked into images. A machine translation of a page is a reasonable way to read it; it is not a good basis for quoting a figure, because the provenance line beside the figure is the part that matters and it is the part most likely to be mangled.
